What the Term “Bucket List” Means to Me

There are a lot of things that come to mind when I think of the term bucket list. I think of all of the places in the world I have yet to see, the cultures I have yet to learn about, and the unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences awaiting me in the future. I want to accomplish them ALL before I “kick the bucket” and have to peace out from this life, but I make a point to reflect and be grateful for all the items I have been able to check off the list… Even the things others might think are mundane, like graduating high school or getting a driver’s license. Bucket lists run the gamut of categories and there is no right or wrong list. DON’T LET ANYONE TELL YOU OTHERWISE! You are you and can be no one else, so let’s agree that what is important to you may not be important to others. Shake on it?

So, to put it simply, a bucket list is a set of goals. Goals in ALL types of areas of your life, not just travel. If you’ve come here looking for your run-of-the-mill travel site, you will be disappointed.

What Crush the Bucket List Hopes to Accomplish

Keeping track of your goals and learning how to attain them is crucial, whatever your list may include. The purpose of Crush the Bucket List is not to tell you what your list is missing—although, I will write posts with ideas! Lots of ideas!—but to show you that YOU can accomplish your goals. If you’re shown enough examples and provided enough resources and tools, you can get the job done and tick those goals off your list.

I do not proclaim to be an expert; just someone with a gusto for collecting life experiences. I would never recommend anything I have not tried myself (or know someone who has tried and enjoyed). That’s a promise.

I hope you enjoy the site. Let me know what you think at alex@crushthebucketlist.com or drop me a line on the contact page.
